About Us

When you stay at the elephant home campsite, you experience a high level of hospitality, with experiences that bring you closest to nature and showcasing the local cultures. Our services and product are pocket friendly and offering great value for money.

Our rooms are en-suite and furnished to give you the necessary comfort. Our accommodations options include twin and double self-contained rooms. Most people who stay with us have ranked our meals as 5++. No wonder, our chef is very experienced with local ingredients and fixes the best meal for every staying guest willing to have meals in our restaurant. Guests can already view our menu here and or place meal orders before arrival, here.

We offer a long list of community activities including those you can do without paying park entrance fees. With our experienced guides, we provide support and information on, or arrange all safari activities offered in Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the property, we have a free self-guided walk where our guests have intimacy with nature as they study the plants, insects, birds and taking the lovely views over the park savanna.

Arrival to the elephant home by public or private transport is very easy. We are on a good road and neighboring Queen Elizabeth National Park, a location that gives easy access to the park activities. It is just 10 minutes drive to the park gate where the game drive starts.

What you will like about The Elephant Home

On a lucky night, our guests sleep to the sound of the lion and hyena roaring in the Savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park and always wake up to the beautiful sounds of birds.

Make sure you take some time to wander into the “food forest” along the trails of Elephant Home, while you are here. Tucked around many corners are surprises such as pineapple plants, passion fruit vines, succulent aloe Vera plants and more!

The Elephant Home garden also produces much of our own food that we serve to guests. By adopting the “zero mile diet” principles, we hope to be almost 100% self sufficient in food crops in the coming months and years.

Elephant Home uses many permaculture techniques to keep the land healthy. You can also explore our compost piles to see how we build our own rich composted soils.

Elephant Home is committed to protecting and rebuilding our environment. We understand that it is our responsibility to give back to the land by nourishing the plants and trees for future generations to enjoy.
